Thursday 29 Nov 2018

A Team

Squad - Syun, Ben, Dilan A, Arav, Zakfemi, Rocco, Daniel and Dilan P

It was a very competitive game, played at at high temp. Buckingham had the lion's share of the possession, however Reddiford pressed them hard to turn the ball over. We attacked on the break and converted a number of our chances.

The final score was 3-1 to Reddiford, thanks to a hat-trick from Dilan Pala. Man of the match for Reddiford was Ben, however every member of the team contributed to a hard fought victory over a good Buckingham side.

B Team

Squad - Milen, Madisan, Krish, Krishan, Kirtain, Yajur, shayan, Rohan and Rahil

The match was an entertaining affair, with both sides keen to attack in numbers.

Milen was kept busy in the Reddiford goal and showed his ability with a multitude of impressive saves throughout. As the match went on, his confidence grew and he was commanding in his area.

Kirtan led the Reddiford defence, using his experience and understanding of the game to good effect. His leadership was invaluable to Krish and Krishan, both playing in their first U11 fixture, who worked tirelessly to win the ball throughout. Madisan seemed to be everywhere on the pitch, making use of his strength and stamina to press the opposition.

Shayan and Rohan were composed on the ball and supported their teammates well with good runs and positioning. At the other end of the pitch, they were both quick to identify danger and made several key covering interceptions and tackles.

Rahil was a constant threat, using his pace and skill to create opportunities for himself and his teammates. He scored a brace, one of which was a fantastic solo run and shot.

The score ended 4-2 to Reddiford.

The man of the match was awarded to Yajur. He worked tirelessly at both ends of the pitch, turning defence into attack again and again. His two goals were just reward for his hard work.

Well done to all of the boys for an excellent performance.
