Fourteen Year 3 and 4 girls demonstrated impressive resilience when they braved the cold weather to attend a Netball Festival at St. Helen’s College. They had the chance to practise their netball skills with lots of different children, with the teams regularly swapping opposition.
I think the comment from a St. Helen’s child after the first few minutes of play: “woah Reddiford are good at netball,” is an excellent summary of the account the girls gave of themselves and the school. They skilfully dodged, passed, and marked their partners in order to retain possession of the ball and score dozens of points.
A wonderful contribution was made by all of our players and team selection gets even more challenging every week! Especially well done to Anya and Sameeha for rising to the occasion and taking part in their first fixtures, and to Evie and Molly who always managed to find space for their team.
We really appreciated the commitment of the supporters who ventured all the way to Uxbridge to cheer the girls on!
