The Year 3 and 4 girls were excited to arrive at Quainton Hall with some fresh flurries of snow gracing the skies. Luckily, they were totally undeterred by the unusual weather conditions, and the Year 4 captains ran thorough warm-ups for their teams to ensure that they were ready for the task in hand.
It was fantastic to see the girls confidently applying so many of the football skills that they have been learning this term and combining brilliantly as a team. There were many highlights in the first match, which included: crunching tackles from Sophie to prevent Quainton Hall from reaching the penalty area, pursuing loose balls to win them for her team by Easha, and multiple saves to prevent certain goals from Aarya.
The second team to play were even more successful and a delight to watch. Sofia led by example and won every ball in midfield, she fearlessly took on the defenders, and even scored a hattrick! She was well supported by Sanvi who used her tactical judgement to attack and defend with equal vigour as required, and Aashvi who dribbled past everyone!
Thank you very much to our intrepid supporter who braved the snow to come and see the girls play!
