The Year 6 girls were excited to be hosting their very own Netball Tournament to celebrate the culmination of their many achievements in their favourite team sport! They welcomed teams from St. Helen’s College and Quainton Hall (with Alpha and St. Christopher’s hoping to return again next year) to a sunny Reddiford on Thursday.
It was incredible to see how much progress the girls had made since they first started playing netball in Year 3, and as the end of their time in the Prep Department approaches, they are certainly reaching the pinnacle of their Reddiford netballing careers. The athleticism and speed of the Reddiford players was remarked upon by the spectators and staff alike, and they gave a wonderful representation of the school to our visitors in all four of their matches.
The matches were closely contested, and the standard of netball was the highest that I had seen in eight years of hosting the tournament at Reddiford. The girls are aware of their individual and team strengths and understand how to utilise these to create a strong team performance. I hope that they all continue to enjoy playing Netball at their new senior schools and beyond!
Thank you to all of the wonderful spectators, staff and visitors who made the tournament such a special event for the girls.

P.S. I have advised the staff that it would be wise to start training for the Staff V Year 6 Netball Match post haste!
