Friday 24th September saw Reddiford return to live Maths Competitions. Anuradha, Kishann, Zakir and Eashar took part in the Davenies Year 4 Maths Competition. The children weren’t sure what to expect – the reality was a far cry from what they had feared! They all had fantastic fun.
This was the first competition for a long time and some technical issues meant that the prizes awarded on the day didn’t quite align with the final results. Eashar and Zakir were delighted to receive prizes on the afternoon and came a respectable 5th place out of 26 teams. Anuradha and Kishann scored just 16 fewer points and placed 11th overall. The combined scores for the pairs from each school placed Reddiford 3rd out of the 13 schools who participated.
I’m absolutely delighted with their conduct and performance at the event and can’t wait to attend more challenges in the coming months. Thank you to all of their teachers and parents for supporting their love of maths and learning!
